Gwyneth Platrow Opens Up to ELLE About Being a Dirty Girl

ELLE's September 2011 Issue hits newsstands this week so be sure to pick up your copy if you're a fashion enthusiast! Tons of great shots and great beauty, hair, and fashion advice too.

Ad's are usually my favourite part of a magazine, I love looking at the new collections and how the pieces are showcased and especially what they are paired with. Elle Magazine is one of the few that has a DIY section I actually pay attention to and often try.

Gwyneth Paltrow is ELLE's September cover girl. She was dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton for the cover. A leather, silk, and wool jacket was paired with cashmere briefs that showed off her toned legs. She accessorized with a pink tourmaline and diamond ring by Louis Vuitton and her own wedding ring, of course.

During her interview, she gives us key insight on her newly exposed dirty girl side,

"If you speak to my friends who've known me since I was four, they'll say,'That is her.' They always said to me 'You're the dirtiest person in the world and so funny, show the world that side of you.' I felt guarded. I felt like if I really showed people more of me and I was still not accepted then...Who cares ..I'm sick of doing the crying-in-my-soup-part. I want to laugh. I want to sing. The main thing is, I want to have fun."
On the reverse cover, she was photographed in a cashmere knit tunic by Burberry and satin tap pants by Julien Macdonald.

Gwyneth goes into detail about the advice Beyonce gave her before her surprise performance with Cee Lo at the Grammy's.

"Beyonce's like 'Okay. The signing is great. But you're not having any fun' She's like 'Remember when we were at Jay's concert and Panjabi MC comes on and you do your crazy Indian dance? Do that. Be you!'"

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? That you'd really like to see this Indian dance?

At one point, she opens up about why she initially decided to join the cast of Glee -- which is a question I've often wondered.

"I can do short jobs. If I was still starring in three movies every year, there's no way that I'd be the person  my kids want when they fall down."

I don't know how you feel, but this is a side of the actress I've really never seen before. I like her better already.

The rest of the interview consists of a series of other eyeopeners, including details about her fitness routine, her new book, the infamous appearance on Chelsea Lately, and her rockstar husband Chris Martin. To see the full interview pick up a copy of the magazine or you can click HERE

Check back tomorrow or Monday to see all the details about ELLE Canada's September cover girl!
