Royce Da 5'9 Clears Up Slaughterhouse/ Eminem Deal Rumors!

Slaughterhouse's Royce Da 5'9 has cleared up rumors of his rap group joining forces with Eminem's Shady Records imprint and explained their appearance alongside Slim Shady in the "Forever" music video.

According to Royce, the appearance was a result of Em's manager Paul Rosenberg requesting him to show up for the video shoot.

"There's gonna be rumors when somebody see something like that but it just is what it is," he explained. "We just all family. As everybody knows, Em is a good friend of mine. We've been good friends for years. I just had my Slaugterhouse brothers in town and Paul asked me to come down and be in the video and they just happened to be in town with me so I just brought 'em with me."

Radio personality Miss Info recently said there were talks of Slaughterhouse becoming an official Shady Records group.

So here are the 'rumors' that I'm hearing...That Slaughterhouse appearance in "Forever," was indeed a non-verbal announcement of the contract negotiations going on behind the scenes. For the past month, both sides have been working towards bringing the group to the Shady label. And that the gathering of Em and the guys at the shoot, is the first of more collaborations to come. Em has close ties with fellow Detroit, Michigan-based emcee, Royce Da 5'9.

Royce is also known as the rapper who got a major boost from legendary producer DJ Premier, who produced his 2000 hit "Boom." Mostly, though, people associate him with Eminem. The pair have rolled together since their early days in Detroit and have worked together on several occasions.
