Here we go again. It seems there is a "new" Hip-Hop Beef circulating between two of Def Jam's artists, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross.
Jeezy has a new song out called "Death Before Dishonor" which is a remix to Ricky Rozay's B.M.F (Blowing Money Fast). Well get this, the initials of the song and its opening chorus pay homage to Black Mafia Family and its incarcerated leader Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory. So supposedly rappers such as Bleu Davinci and Jeezy who were actually affiliated with the real BMF feel like Ross crossed the line.

Jeezy dropped the song a few days ago and here is the part that has everyone going crazy. Death Before Dishonor" is featured on "Young Jeezy 1,000 Grams" mixtape.
"How you blowin' money fast? You don't know the crew / Are you part of the fam? Shit, I never knew / Y'all was supposed to make it hard, this is easy, hoe / "Pull up in that triple white," I think I'm Jeezy, hoe."
BUT.... Rick Ross said he just doesn't "get" the thought process behind the diss track.
Ross said.
"I haven't had a chance to talk to the homie,"
"I really don't know what the thought process was behind it. My record was called 'Blowin' Money Fast.' It confused me that if it was called 'The Real B.M.F.,' I would have called it 'The Black Mafia Family.' ... You know, you may have to ask him. Other than that, we still reppin', we still riding, and [my] record is getting love everywhere. So it's all good."
Here is Ross' interview discussing the track below: [VIDEO]
The question a lot of people are asking themselves at this point is, IS THIS REAL?? OR A DEF JAM PLOT TO SELL ALBUMS?
Ever since 50 Cent started syncing all of his album releases with a fresh batch of beefs, the world has soured on the genre's more obvious WWE-like machinations.
The acrimonious back-and-forth began when Ross released “"B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)," a nod to the infamous drug organization Black Mafia Family. Jeezy, who is actually associated with BMF and its now-imprisoned leader Big Meech, responded with “BMF (The Real Blowin' Money Fast),” featuring Meech himself on the phone from prison. And just to make sure his point was coming across, Jeezy followed up with “Death Before Dishonor,” a freestyle over Ross's original “BMF” beat dissin Ross.
So, is this real?
On the one hand, Jeezy and Ross are both on Def Jam and have collaborated in the past; also, Jeezy has an impending new album, Thug Motivation 103, to plug.
On the other, Jeezy has more than enough motivation not to like Ross: both are of a similar ilk — doughy, Southern rappers obsessed with cocaine — but while Jeezy was on the scene first, Ross has at this point arguably eclipsed him in popularity and general acclaim. Also, Jeezy invented shouting out BMF (on the remix to Ross's “Hustlin',” no less)
What do YOU think about the beef between Ross and Jeezy????
