Lil Wayne "Hurricane Movie" To Finally Hit Theaters After Financial Set Back.

Lil Wayne's Hurricane Season film, which co-stars Forest Whitaker and Bow Wow, will reportedly be headed to the big screen after suffering multiple delays and budget difficulties.

According to reports, the film will now receive financial backing and avoid a straight-to-video release.

Weezy recently reflected upon his on-screen time alongside Whitaker in the film.

"I just finished shooting a movie with Forest too," he said in an interview. "He's a very serious guy. I just spoke to him before he went out there, and he was like, 'You did good in the movie.' Then he goes out there and sings that. I'm like, 'Wow.' Everything was wonderful and just doing it in New Orleans, it being a true story and just contributing in any kind of way, it was great for me." (MTV)

The movie, which began filming last year, co-stars many well-known actors.

Wayne will be joining notable actors including Forest Whitaker, Isaiah Washington and Taraji P. Henson. Aside from sharing screen with those thespians, Wayne will also team up with Bow Wow in film.

He has been set to portray an high school student by the name of "Lamont" who is doubtful of what the new basketball team could achieve.
