NBC's 'Friends with Benefits' Brings Next Generation Ross and Rachel

NBC's newest sitcom, "Friends With Benefits" is dead set on being fun, young, quirky, carefree and a near re-creation of the dubiously sacrosanct, '90s sitcom "Friends." In between moments of forced, unrealistic scenarios, it elicits some solid laughs. Casual sex, reckless partying, relationship woes, absurd man-ventures (male adventures) and the quest for fulfillment is the cliched, late 20s, existence the show revolves around.

Women in power positions seem a nightmare to some men and in Hollywood it's become a film cliche to show dominant women as psychotic. Jennifer Aniston recently revealed she loved her unapologetic, dominance in "Horrible Bosses" playing an oversexed and under-sympathetic boss with no boundaries.

After seven years of marriage, twin babies and joint creative ventures in music and the film "El Cantante," Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have called it quits.  It is Hollywood after all and the shelf life of most marriages is as long as "Gigli's" run in theaters. Besides, some of us always thought Lopez needed a meatier man. Lo siento.
