On Saturday night, a benefit screening of the upcoming film, The Help, took place in Madison, Mississippi.
The film is based on a novel by Kathryn Stockett and centres on the lives of female domestic servants working for white families during the Civil Rights Movement in Jackson, Mississippi. Starring Emma Stone, Octavia Spencer, Sissy Spacek, and Viola Davis, the film hits theatres on August 10th.
A review of the book will be posted today at 2 pm! It's a must read -- I'm hoping the film doesn't disappoint.
Stone wore Jason Wu to the benefit screening. The ivory lace shirt and tweed skirt are from the designers Resort 2012 collection. She accessorized with minimal jewellery and a cream BottegaVeneta silk knot clutch.
