It all started with these posts from Perez Hilton on his Twitter account..."I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.....I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."
Toronto police have charged Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio Molina with assault after a scuffle with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton at a local awards ceremony. Molina, 36, was ordered to appear Aug. 5 to answer the assault charge. Hilton first alerted the police via Twitter that he had apparently been involved in an altercation with the Black Eyed Peas group during the early hours of Monday morning.
There has been a crazy war of words back and forth on Twitter all day and night and it appears to be escalating. Like most of you, I thought this may have been a ploy to get more followers but it seems it is true and Perez wanted everything "documented" as he said.
First, after Hilton took to his Twitter account to accuse the Black Eye Peas manager for assaulting him outside a Toronto nightclub, Will posted a video in which he denied having anything to do with harming the celebrity blogger and placed the blame for the incident on an overzealous fan.
Then Hilton ended that self-imposed gag order by posting a near 12-minute video (click here to watch it), responding to to Will's own video account(click here to watch video) of the incident.Saying things like "I would never make up something like this. I have 10 Million plus peaople that visit my website everyday...I don't need publicity...I don't want drama in my won life!"
"OK, so I'm on my way to sleep, and I get a text from a friend (allegedly Tila Tequila), and it says she reads on Twitter that I assaulted Perez Hilton. For those who were following my Dip [postings], I told you what happened," Will said in the video. "This dude twists it and says I assaulted him, when I was the one who came to him with respect, and he was the one who called me a f----t outside of the club. Whatever. I hit you, Perez? Come on, dude, I didn't hit you. I told you that I didn't like the fact that you disrespected us.
"Dude, apparently you were bleeding outside the club. I was, like, next to you by a tree. I was waiting for my car. And instead of calling the police, you [Tweeted] that I assaulted you. Sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned with his health," Will continued. "I didn't hit you. And this is very wrong that you are [Tweeting] that I did that, once again disrespecting me and everything that I stand for. And they're lies. And that's wrong. Shame on you. Shame on your behavior."
Will doesn't actually address Hilton's claim that he was assaulted by Molina, but in a video of the incident — which, of course, surfaced Monday afternoon (June 22) — Hilton can be seen arguing with a pair of men outside Toronto's Cobra club, one of whom appears to be Will and the other whom the Web site identified as Molina.
Though footage is grainy, Hilton can clearly be heard shouting: "No, you're not a f---ing artist. You're a f---ing f----t." The gathered crowd responds with "Oohs!," and Will can be heard shouting, "Yo, that's Perez! That's Perez Hilton!"
From there, the scuffle apparently breaks out, as club security can be heard ushering partygoers back inside the club. At the end of the clip, someone can be heard yelling, "You just assaulted Perez Hilton."
The Toronto Police Service's Public Information Unit has yet to respond to phone calls and e-mails about the incident, nor has a spokesperson for the Black Eyed Peas' label, Interscope Records.
