50 Cent Looses 50 lbs for a New Movie Role! You Have To See This!! [PHOTO

In total, 50 Cent lost more than 50 pounds over only nine weeks, falling from a muscular 214 to a skeleton 160 pounds considering his 6 foot height. He lost the weight for a movie role in Things Fall Apart, in which he plays a football player diagnosed with cancer.

50 said this about the above photo:

“Yeah, they’re absolutely real,”

He lost the weight by going on a 9-week liquid diet and working out on a treadmill for three hours a day.
The weight loss was no easy task, and he recognizes the health risks:

“After the second week, it was crazy. They say it takes 30 days to make a habit, but man… I was on the Internet and I was looking at Christian Bale, while The Machinist was out, he almost killed himself. I was feeling like maybe I’m overdoing it and I’m dropping 54 pounds, but I was in such a good physical state prior to me deciding to go down on the weight.”

Despite how unhealthy he looks, at least his motivations are close to his heart:

"My motivation for the project was my best friend, Charles Pringle. He lived across the street from me; he actually died of cancer. It’s a serious topic. One out of eight people in the world die of cancer. It tops HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria together. If you’re not actually gonna die of cancer, chances are someone you’re active with in your life is."

The cast of Things Fall Apart also includes Lynn Whitfield, Mario Van Peebles, and Ray Liotta. 50 Cent is also a co-producer on the film, along with Randall Emmett, his partner in Cheetah Vision Films. For 50 Cent and the sake of his health, let’s hope Things Fall Apart is actually worth watching.

"Most recently Kat gave some remarks about Bow Wow. So in order to take his vengeance one of his assistants went to Kat in the bar and physically assaulted her."

I know it may seem funny at first and I know she talked mad sh*t about people but a grown man slapping this woman?...C'mon son. We all know this was coming to her but why not get a chic to step to her?? I think that would have been more appropriate if that's the look they was going for, no?

It's unfortunate because this video is very incriminating and if Kat Stacks treats this as she treats her other situations, she will make sure they pay for this. I seriously hope this all stops soon before someone really gets hurt. If what Kat Stacks has been saying is FALSE, then these guys should get her for defamation..I don't think a man slapping her up is the answer..

Lady Gaga Has Cancer Scare! "I don't want anyone to worry."

Ever since she nearly collapsed on stage in March (click here for that story, even Janet Jackson was reaching out to her!) and had to cancel several shows earlier this year citing exhaustion, Lady Gaga has had us worrying if she's on the verge of tipping.

And now Gaga's latest health scare probably isn't helping to alleviate those fears.

"I'm very connected to my aunt, Joanne, who died of lupus,"

she says,

"It's a very personal thing."

When asked if she's been tested, Gaga, 24, says "yes," without elaborating on the results, adding that she doesn't "want anyone to be worried" even though the disease, in which the immune system attacks the body, can be genetic.

"I have heart palpitations and things. But it's okay. It's just from
fatigue and other things,"

Her most recent health emergency: "The other day," Gaga says about her time in Tokyo where she was "having trouble breathing."

After receiving "a little oxygen," Gaga went back on stage.

"I was okay,"

she says, again adding,

"I don't want anyone to worry."

As for buzz about her thin body, Gaga wants to reassure fans that she doesn't "have an eating problem," but rather points to her busy schedule that doesn't allow her "very much time to eat."

"I really don't do drugs. I don't touch cocaine any more. I don't smoke,"

she says.

"I take care of myself."

But don't expect her to slow down anytime soon.

"People say I should take a break,"

says the singer. "But I'm like, 'Why should I take a break? What do you want me to do? Go on vacation?"

YES!! I believe she may just need as little as 3 days away from the madness. And you may be saying to yourself, why? ...she just got hot and she needs to keep it up before the big fame wears off....I say no way to that, health is more important and everyone knows once you take a break you are rejuvenated and refreshed to start working again.

The "Real" Rick Ross Getting Ready To Sue Rapper "Rick Ross" & Def Jam Record Label For His Name!

The "real" Rick Ross moved millions of dollars worth of cocaine weekly in the Mid 80's, and was one of the world's most respected and feared drug dealers. he was sentenced in 1996 for attempting to purchase over 100 kilograms of cocaine from an undercover agent. Now, Ross was recently released and has publicly stated his frustration with the rapper "Rick Ross" (born William Leonard Roberts II) usage of his name and reputation!

The real Rick Ross claims, he sent cease-and-desist letters to the rapper Rick Ross' record label, Def Jam, requesting that the MC refrain from using his name, but was ignored. Ross is allegedly planning to sue Def Jam, parent company Universal, the reapper "Rick Ross" and several others.

But that's not it, Freeway Ricky Ross' nephew/rapper, Slim da Mobster, has put his two cents in, and he is definitely not feeling it!

"Totally disrespectful. And it's become more disrespectful....like I said, a lot of these n*ggas ain't what they say they are. If you ain't a stand-up cat then don't use a stand-up guy's name. With me, strangely, I got my name from [notorious pimp and Blues vocalist] Fillmore Slim. That's another part of when I was out here in the street. A lot of these dudes, they confuse fact with fiction. They're so fictional, that they're willing to do anything for money. Me, myself, I'm not an anything-for-money type of n*gga...So for me, it just be funny when I hear a n*gga use somebody that I actually know's name and it comes to [known] for one, [Rick Ross] was a cop or a C.O., police, worker, whatever. Now you're confusing people with this picture you painted. That's like you painting a picture and me takin' credit for it. That's like your picture with my signature at the bottom of it. That ain't cool. When you've sat in prison for over 20 years for this sh*t, I don't want anybody using my name unless you're along those lines or you're of that caliber."

Oscar Micheaux: Going postal

The 33rd stamp in the Black Heritage series, to be issued June 22, honors pioneering filmmaker Oscar Micheaux, who wrote, directed, produced and distributed more than 40 movies during the first half of the 20th century. An ambitious, larger-than-life figure, Micheaux thrived at a time when African-American filmmakers were rare, venues for their work were scarce, and support from the industry did not exist. Micheaux’s entrepreneurial spirit and independent vision continue to inspire new generations of filmmakers and artists.

This stamp features a stylized portrait of Oscar Micheaux by Gary Kelley. The artwork is based on one of the few surviving photographs of Micheaux, a portrait that appeared in his 1913 novel The Conquest.

Although only 15 of his movies are known to have survived in whole or in part, Micheaux has become a cinematic icon. In 1986, he was posthumously awarded a special Directors Guild of America award. In 1995, the Producers Guild of America established the Oscar Micheaux Award to honor “an individual or individuals whose achievements in film and television have been accomplished despite difficult odds.”

What are the "Upfronts"?

I LOVE the Upfronts. Upfront week for television is when you learn what's been officially cancelled and get scoop on the upcoming new television shows.

Some shows get "early renewals", but for most shows they have to wait until their network's Upfront presentation to find out. The people on the show (cast and crew) of course finds out before, but not that long before. Usually news will leak to the media about what is cancelled, but the network Upfront presentation is the official word.

What exactly are the Upfronts though?

In the North American television industry, an upfront is a meeting hosted at the start of important advertising sales periods by television network executives, attended by the press and major advertisers. It is so named because of its main purpose, to allow marketers to buy commercial airtime "up front", or several months before the television season begins.

In the United States, the major broadcast networks' upfronts occur in New York City during the third week of May, the last full week of that month's sweeps period. The networks announce their fall primetime schedules, including tentative launch dates (i.e., fall or midseason) for new programming, which may be "picked up" the week before. The programming announcements themselves are usually augmented with clips from the new series, extravagant musical numbers, comedic scenes, and appearances by network stars, and take place at grand venues such as Radio City Music Hall or Carnegie Hall. Most cable networks present earlier in the spring since they usually program for the summer months; press attention to these announcements is usually much lighter.-Wikipedia

Most times though you here about cancelled shows early like the cancellation this year of the venerable Law & Order. During the summer the networks hype their new shows with television and print ads and most notably during the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

T.I. On Larry King Live, Says "Depression" Caused Conviction... [VIDEO]

Larry King went in on T.I. with some tough questions a few days ago and T.I. let it all out! Check out how that interview went down...



Clifford "T.I." Harris was sentenced to one year and one day of prison last year following his arrest in October 2007 for attempting to illegally purchase firearms. The rapper was subsequently released to a halfway house in December to serve out the remainder of his sentence before his ultimate release at the end of March. King got right to the point and asked T.I. why he attempted the purchase of firearms in the first place.

"It came from an attempt that was made on my life,"

he said.

"My best friend [Philant Johnson] had died in my arms. It caused a state of depression and paranoia. My judgment was jaded, and I felt my life was in danger. ... At the time, when I felt the need to have these things, I never took into consideration the legalities; I only took into consideration the protection of my life and family."

King pressed Tip on whether he has truly put the "trouble" behind him. T.I. insisted that he is a "gangster no more," he absolutely does not own a weapon and he is looking toward the future and to evolve.

"In having time to sit and reflect, if you take the time and use it to your advantage, you see [that], even though all those rounds were fired that night, you didn't have a firearm and you're still here,"

he said.

"Obviously, the firearms aren't what's keeping you alive. I had to take that into consideration. I had to apply it to the way I live my daily life."

Throughout the interview, T.I. was calm and composed and answered all of King's questions without pause — save for when the CNN vet asked if he had ever shot a gun at anyone. T.I. called out the Fifth Amendment before answering that he had shot a gun "at a range."

"The main thing I can do to protect myself in the future is to understand my position,"

he said.

"I can't put myself in an environment where it will require me to have a handgun. I just stay places where I can be cool. I have security now. ... I take full responsibility for everything that happened to me. I'm a full believer that your life is what you make it. Society doesn't owe you anything."

Lena Horne Passes Away At 92.

Lena Horne established herself as one of the premiere nightclub performers of the post-war era. She headlined at clubs and hotels throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, the Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles, and the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. In 1957, a live album entitled, Lena Horne at the Waldorf-Astoria, became the biggest selling record by a female artist in the history of the RCA-Victor label. In 1958, Horne was nominated for a Tony Award for "Best Actress in a Musical" (for her part in the "Calypso" musical Jamaica).

From the late 1950s through the 1960s, Horne was a staple of TV variety shows, appearing multiple times on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Dean Martin Show, and The Bell Telephone Hour. Other programs she appeared on included The Judy Garland Show, The Hollywood Palace, and The Andy Williams Show. Besides two television specials for the BBC (later syndicated in the U.S.), Horne starred in her own U.S. television special in 1969, Monsanto Night Presents Lena Horne. During this decade, the artist Pete Hawley painted her portrait for RCA Victor, capturing the mood of her performance style.

A new generation of artists took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Lena Horne, who died Sunday at age 92. The singer, actress and civil-rights activist left her mark on the world of jazz with her rendition of "Stormy Weather."

"Wow! Lena Horne! What an incredible woman & story of triumph!"

Alicia Keys tweeted.

"May we all know that life is a journey of possibility as long as we hang on ...

Diddy also remembered the late music icon on Twitter, writing,

"RIP to the QUEEN LENA HORNE!!!!! We thank you for all the doors that you have opened! We love you! WE MISS YOU!"

Monica chimed in:

"RIP to the amazingly talented Lena Horne. U have truly left your mark on the world. U influenced many with your style and grace."

"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Chad Ochocinco wrote,

"Just been informed we've lost another great one in the beautiful LENA HORNE, favorite movie with her is STORMY WEATHER #sad."

While young music fans might not be completely familiar with Horne, newer stars like Kelly Rowland paid their respects to the woman who helped pave the way for minority artists in the entertainment industry.

"Sending prayers, and Love to The family of the Beautiful, Legendary Lena Horne," Rowland wrote. "She will be missed!!!!"

"She was an icon,"

Queen Latifah told ESPN.

"I always remembered her as Glinda the Good Witch in 'The Wiz.' She always had this amazing beauty, talent and warmth. Maybe it was her accent?"

Horne died on May 9, 2010, at the New York–Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Lumet Buckley, granddaughters Jenny and Amy Lumet, Lena Jones, and grandsons, William and Thomas Jones. The circumstances of her death were withheld.

Lil Wayne's Mother Day Letter From Jail: "A Mother's Worth"

It’s not many words in the world more powerful than “mother.” Those six letters can bring joy, just like they bring pain. It can invoke excitement just as quickly as it can anger, depending on the context, I guess. For myself, it means more than I can ever possibly describe, but I will try. I associate the term with immeasurable strength, beautiful patience and infinite wisdom.

You can probably already tell, but the main reason for this letter is to pay tribute to every positive matriarch on Mother’s Day. In my eyes, that day is 365 days a year, but I understand the significance of the holiday. The love between a mother and her offspring is hands down the most beautiful thing God created. More than money, more than fame, more than cars. You know why? Because true love is the only thing that lasts from the moment you’re born to the second you perish. To all the mothers who read this letter, I hope this day allows you to feel the love and respect you so rightfully deserve. You are the role models, not me.

To the mothers of my beautiful children, there remains nothing but love, adoration and respect coming from my heart. Even with the mistakes I’ve made in my life, you give me reason to smile in a place where they attempt to break your spirit each day the sun rises. I love my babies with all my heart. And the fact you brought them into this world only gives me more and more motivation to write these words. Happy Mother’s Day.

Last but not least, my own mother, Ms. Cita. You are my heart and you are my soul. Please don’t ever forget that. We’ve been through everything one could possibly imagine together. With each obstacle that has come our way, you have handled it with the grace and dignity I can only hope to mimic. Even writing this, it’s tough to come to grips with the fact I cannot spend this special day with you. Like you always preached, a man must accept his own actions – good and bad – and learn from them. And that’s what I’m doing. Mom, I love you more than you will ever know. Probably more than I love my own self. Enjoy Mother’s Day because you deserve it. Also, find comfort knowing your son loves you and misses you like crazy.

To everyone, again, I cannot stress this enough, thank you so, so much for the support. My spirits are sky high thanks to you all. It makes the day pass faster knowing people out there care about you and want you to do well. I pray the letters keep coming in at the volume they are right now, especially the overseas ones. They let me know life still does move on, even if I forget at times. I just ask that you all keep the letters to one page. And keep sending the pictures, too. Some of you are talented beyond belief with the drawings and paintings.

I’ll go ahead and end the letter here, but again Happy Mother’s Day to each and every lady who has raised/is raising her kids the best way possible. Take care. God bless. Live life. Show love.

Justin was forced to calm the hoards of angry Bieber Babies (lol), telling them,
“ladies calm down” and clarifying that Kardashian was only “a friend.”

he Tweeted.

"no need 4 threats. Let's all be friends and hang out often."

It wasn’t the first time the Bieber babies became aggressive – a group of about 500 trampled his own mother in New Zealand as they rushed to reach the young singer.

And just the day before, he was forced to cancel his show after they injured each other during Bieber mania!
