Lindsay Lohan Sues Pitbull & Ne-Yo --- Threatens To Take Their Song Off Radio!

Guess Lindsay doesn't like Pitbull and Neyo's song "Give Me Everything" as much as we do.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing the creators of Pitbull's No. 1 hit "Give Me Everything" over a disparaging lyric that she claims is in breach of "New York civil rights laws."

The song -- written by Ne-Yo and Afrojack, also defendants -- has a line:

Hustlers move aside, so I'm tiptoein', to keep flowin'

I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay is pissed, claiming in her lawsuit ...
"the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff."

Lindsay, who claims in the lawsuit she is
"a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.

Lindsay alleges the appearance of her name in the song "causes [Lindsay] to be associated and identified in connection with defendants."

The suit -- filed by Stephanie Ovadia -- seeks an injunction to stop all of the defendants from broadcasting the song. It also seeks unspecified damages. Stephanie Ovadia is the same lawyer who filed the E*TRADE lawsuit on Lindsay's behalf, which settled for a confidential sum.

"Give Me Everything" has given Pitbull (real name: Armando Christian Perez) his biggest hit yet, reaching No. 1 on the Hot 100 in June and selling 2.96 million copies since its release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Representatives for Pitbull and Ne-Yo did not respond to queries about the lawsuit at press time.

Creative Copycats Sued - Rihanna, Oprah, Kim K. and Others in Legal Battles

By Aphrodite M.

Fame brings as many perks as it does problems. Part and parcel with money and recognition come high profile lawsuits. Celebrities sue and are sued in return for anything and everything, including not liking beef (The Cattle Industry vs. Oprah) and daring to make a fan site for a favorite performer (Prince vs. His Fans). The law is constantly being perverted so some can make a point.

NJ Nets Fined For Jay-Z's Illegal Actions!

The New Jersey Nets have been fined $50,000 after their minority owner Jay-Z', went in the Kentucky locker room after the Wildcats clinched a Final Four berth. Jay took a photo and everything!

NBA rules prohibit team personnel from having contact with players who are not yet draft eligible.

The NBA's investigation was triggered by this photo showing Jay-Z visiting with various Kentucky players in their locker room at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., after the Wildcats' quarterfinal victory over North Carolina.

ESPN's Marc Stein explained the situation and why it is harmful for the organization,

"Though the circumstances of the visit seemed harmless enough, with Kentucky players clearly more excited about meeting a world-famous rap mogul as opposed to a part-time NBA team executive, Nets officials were expecting a fine based on what happened to Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge in 2007."

Boston was fined $30,000 that year for "excessive contact with the family" after Ainge was spotted sitting next to Kevin Durant's mother at the Big 12 tournament.

Prison Inmate Suing The Kardashian Sisters!

According to reports, an inmate at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, named D.J. Goodson, filed the legal papers against Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, claiming he developed "extreme emotional distress due to their outrageousness of actions."

But check out why he says they caused this! Lol......D.J. Stated that he suffered the "extreme emotional distress" after being forced to watch "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami".

In the suit, which was filed in a federal court, D.J. says that he permanently scarred from watching domestic abuse from a boxing match on the show featuring Kim, emotional abuse from Kourtney's rantings and also racism as Khloe used to refer to a baby doll as "the black baby."

He is looking for $75,000 in damages!

Good luck buddy! lol

Drake Gets Sued By Hugh Hefner & Playboy! What?! .... [INFO INSIDE]

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner has filed a lawsuit against Drake and I'm assuming the actual producer, Boi-1da who produced “Best I Ever Had”.

According to reports, Hefner is seeking compensation from the rapper because he sampled a song which is owned by his Playboy company.

In the beginning of Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” song, he used copy written material from Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds’ “Fallin’ In Love” which Hef owns the rights to.

As part of their copyright claim, Playboy claims that Drake and his crew “knew or should have reasonably known, that the sound recording was protected by copyright…” and that “each Defendant continues to infringe upon Plaintiff’s rights in and to the copyrighted sound recording.” Sounds like Playboy is trying to cash in on Drake’s recent hit album. This happens all the time, the owner of the original sample will wait long amounts of time (aka wait till more money racks in) to come out and sue for what's theirs.

Playboy wants the court to issue an injunction, to stop the selling and distribution of the song, and to stop capitalizing off of it.

The sample is in the beginning of "Best I Ever Had,"

You can hear both songs below:

I'll keep you posted.

Beyonce's Neighbor Sues Her For $25,000 For Being Noisy!!!

If you thought she was being noisy and "loud" with Jay-Z for other reasons, your mind is in the gutter! lmao! But seriously though, This is all because of Beyonce's Video "Why Don't You Love Me."

For most people, it would be something to brag about -- Beyonce shooting a music video in your neighborhood.

But for one man in Hollywood Hills, it was something he decided to go see a lawyer about.

Philip Markowitz has sued Beyonce and other parties over the video shoot for the song "Why Don't You Love Me."

The man claims the video shoot was too noisy, drew too many people -- and invaded the privacy of his upscale neighborhood.

He's seeking $25,000. No immediate response from Beyonce's publicists.

The "Real" Rick Ross Getting Ready To Sue Rapper "Rick Ross" & Def Jam Record Label For His Name!

The "real" Rick Ross moved millions of dollars worth of cocaine weekly in the Mid 80's, and was one of the world's most respected and feared drug dealers. he was sentenced in 1996 for attempting to purchase over 100 kilograms of cocaine from an undercover agent. Now, Ross was recently released and has publicly stated his frustration with the rapper "Rick Ross" (born William Leonard Roberts II) usage of his name and reputation!

The real Rick Ross claims, he sent cease-and-desist letters to the rapper Rick Ross' record label, Def Jam, requesting that the MC refrain from using his name, but was ignored. Ross is allegedly planning to sue Def Jam, parent company Universal, the reapper "Rick Ross" and several others.

But that's not it, Freeway Ricky Ross' nephew/rapper, Slim da Mobster, has put his two cents in, and he is definitely not feeling it!

"Totally disrespectful. And it's become more disrespectful....like I said, a lot of these n*ggas ain't what they say they are. If you ain't a stand-up cat then don't use a stand-up guy's name. With me, strangely, I got my name from [notorious pimp and Blues vocalist] Fillmore Slim. That's another part of when I was out here in the street. A lot of these dudes, they confuse fact with fiction. They're so fictional, that they're willing to do anything for money. Me, myself, I'm not an anything-for-money type of n*gga...So for me, it just be funny when I hear a n*gga use somebody that I actually know's name and it comes to [known] for one, [Rick Ross] was a cop or a C.O., police, worker, whatever. Now you're confusing people with this picture you painted. That's like you painting a picture and me takin' credit for it. That's like your picture with my signature at the bottom of it. That ain't cool. When you've sat in prison for over 20 years for this sh*t, I don't want anybody using my name unless you're along those lines or you're of that caliber."

I'll keep you posted!

Lil Wayne Gets Sued By ANOTHER Producer for $500,000!!

Here we go again! This is the second time within a few days that Lil Wayne is getting sued and this is not a coincidence. After "Lolipop" producer said he was owed unpaid royalties (click here) , now there is another producer who is allegedly owed their royalties for their songs.
This time it's "A Milli" producer, Bangladesh, suing Lil Wayne for $500,000.

Bangladesh aka Shondrae Crawford said he is taking the rapper to court because of unpaid royalties. He told Vibe.com that he felt the only way to get the money owed was to sue Wayne’s label Cash Money, questioning the company's payment policy.

"Cash Money don’t pay royalties,"
he claims.
"'Tha Carter III' [Wayne's 2008 album] [is] his biggest album probably because of 'A Milli'. You have to sue these guys so that they pay up."

He added:
"All the money from album sales goes to Cash Money. I get cheques from Sony for Beyonce, checks from different labels for different artists, it just comes to you. You don't have to call them, sue them and all that junk. This is what you're owed."

Lil Wayne Gets Sued From Lolipop Producer Jim Jonson For Being Unpaid...WOW

Producer Jim Jonsin has filed a lawsuit for $500,000 against Lil Wayne and Young Money Entertainment in Manhattan Federal Court over royalties from the 2009 Grammy Award winning song “Lollipop.”

Jim Jonsin the producer for the track, says that Lil Wayne promised semi-annual accounting statements for the sales of the track in ringtones and singles. Statements that were promised were never received and no money was ever given either. There is a 22 page agreement for this compensation that was also submitted to the court.

“Lollipop” sold over 4 million downloads, about 4 million dollars in ringtones.

Damnnn...I feel homie, he needs his money.

Jay-Z Sues Red Sox Player "Big Papi" For 5 Mil!!

So Red Sox player David Ortiz aka "Big Papi" decided to open up a club in Dominican Republic called "Forty Forty," and as you probably already know, Jay-Z owns 40/ 40 Clubs here in the U.S. Well, Jay is not having it!

Jay-Z went a head and sued Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz in federal court in New York on Thursday for naming his Dominican Republic nightclub "Forty Forty." Jay claims that Ortiz intended to trade on the fame of Jay-Z's "40/40" clubs in cities including New York, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City, and that Ortiz has therefore infringed his registered trademarks in "40/40" and "40/40 Club." Jay-Z wants over $5 million to put a stop to what he calls Ortiz's "brazen and unauthorized attempt to trade on the value and goodwill that [he] has cultivated in the 40/40 Marks...." He claims that Ortiz was well aware of his 40/40 clubs because he patronized the New York establishment several times, while the Red Sox were playing the Yankees and during the All-Star Break. Jay-Z and his team say Ortiz is "trying to reap where they have not sown by using Plaintiff's 40/40 Marks without permission...."

The case raises a host of legal questions. For starters, Ortiz's nightclub is located in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

"Forty Forty" is certainly a little close too "40/40" for comfort, but trademark infringement is not that easy to prove. Jay-Z's lawyers will have to convince the jury that people are, or are likely to be, confused that Ortiz's nightclub in the Dominican Republic is associated with or endorsed by Jay-Z and his 40/40 franchise.

Ortiz is a slick one for this! lol

Who do you think will win this one??

50 Cent Entourage Member Ordered to Pay Over $30,000 For Choking A Woman.

A woman who says she was beaten at 50 Cent's Connecticut mansion has been awarded more than $30,000 in her lawsuit against a member of 50's entourage.

A Waterbury Superior Court judge ruled Thursday in favor of 24-year-old Shana Chin, who sued 28-year-old Dwayne McKenzie on allegations he assaulted and choked her in his bedroom at 50 Cent's Farmington mansion after a Memorial Day party in 2008.

Judge Joseph Pellegrino said there was enough evidence to support Chin's claims for her injuries.

Chin had sought $100,000. She said she had been dating McKenzie, who lived at the mansion once owned by boxer Mike Tyson.

McKenzie said he didn't know how Chin was injured. He was arrested shortly after the incident and allowed into a violence education program.

T.I. Officially Out Of Prison!

T.I. finally gets to roam free, since March 26th he's been official out of prison since he was locked up for weapons charges last year ... but he's still gonna have the curfew.

T.I. will now be placed under 23 days of supervised release ... which means he'll have to be home by 11 PM unless he's performing, which he'll have to be in by 1 AM.

He will also have to complete 400 hours of community service and will be on probation for three years.

And then don't forget I reported last week that he should be slapped with a lawsuit soon too. But hey, at least he's free right.

Lady Gaga Gets Sued By A "Friend" For The 2nd Time This Week?!

Fame is giving Lady Gaga more money problems. More "former" friends are coming out the woodworks wants their cut.

Bassist Tommy Kafafian, another former collaborator of the “Bad Romance” hitmaker, is claiming he is still owed royalties, but unlike producer Rob Fusari, he is not suing the singer.

He said in an email to The Star Ledger,
“I don’t wanna sue anybody. It’s really not my style… I’m just gonna keep moving forward until Lady Gaga can’t walk down the street without seeing my face or hearing my music.”

LOL good luck buddy!

Kafafian claims he spent months in a studio in 2006 with Fusari and the 23-year-old singer, real name Stefani Germanotta, to found a sound inspired by the cure and Missing Persons. They even considered forming a band, but they broke up when she signed to Streamline Records/Interscope.

Germanotta then reached out to him once more as she was preparing to tour in Europe and Asia last year. He joined her and recruited other musicians for the road show. But when she put together new dates for North America, she replaced the band.

He was disappointed but abandoned the idea of filing a lawsuit. He said he has yet to be compensated for “Disco Heaven,” a track he helped wrote for her debut album “The Fame.”
Kafafian said that instead of hiring lawyers, he will just focus on his own music, both as a solo artist and as a Dirty Pollyanna band member.

T.I. Getting Sued As Soon As He Gets Released From Prison!

T.I. is about to be out of prison March 26th and he’s already back at the center of legal trouble. According to sources, the KING is being sued for trademark infringement and unfair competition by the television network Akoo, over the rapper using the same name for fashion label, Akoo Clothing Company.

The lawsuit comes right on the major criticism for T.I.’s risque Akoo billboard, remember that one? The one which featured a woman licking her lips while leaning her head against a male model’s crotch. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE BILLBOARD & READ THE STORY.

Lady Gaga's Ex-Boyfriend Sues For 30Mill!! Gaga Counter Sues!! ....

Lady Gaga’s ex-boyfriend / music producer Rob Fusari sued the pop superstar for over $30 million claiming that he co-wrote the hits “Paparazzi” and “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” and that he came up with the former Stefani Germanotta’s stage name. Lady Gaga’s lawyers have responded, calling the suit “ludicrous.”

GaGa filed a countersuit saying Fusari forced her to "enter into an unlawful arrangement" which apparently entitled Fusari to a portion of her future earnings. GaGa also alleges that Fusari performed duties of a talent agent but without a license, therefore the contract should be invalidated.

"The arrangement was structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose - to provide the defendant unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents,"
says the suit.

OUCH...

50 Cent Sued By Florida Women Over Sex Tape Release!

50 Cent was sued on Wednesday over a sex tape featuring Florida woman Lastonia Leviston and boyfriend Maurice Murray.

Remeber those "Pimpin Curly" videos? lol Well, 50 modified this woman's sex tape by inserting himself into the video as Curly, wearing a curly, red wig and a bathrobe. He published the tape on his website Thisis50.com and it made its way to YouTube.

He makes side comments throughout the remake. "Ooh, she grindin', is she a grinder?" he comments at one point as Leviston, wearing white lingerie, straddles Murray on a couch.

It is purported that Jackson released the video as a new prank in the long standing feud he has with rapper Rick Ross. Leviston is said to be the mother of Ross' child. At several points in the 13-minute video he mocks Ross, "Ricky don't know how to do that!" he says when Murray, wearing red boxer shorts, smacks Leviston's butt.

Leviston says that she and Murray made the video in 2008 and that he agreed to destroy the evidence. But it turns out he sold the tape to 50 Cent. Murray's face is blurred out of the released version.

Leviston entered her lawsuit in the Manhattan Supreme Court seeking damages for emotional distress and the unauthorized use of her image.

That's messed up!

Beyonce & Dad Get Slammed For Stealing A Song...AGAIN!

Beyonce and her father/manager, Mathew Knowles, are facing heat over song credits yet again.

In a recent interview, record producer Rob Fusari, accused the duo of taking credit for using Stevie Nicks riffs on the hit Destiny's Child single "Bootylicioius".

Claiming that he came up with the idea to use part of "Edge of Seventeen," Fusari says Mathew Knowles later told him sharing credit did "not sell records".

"I remember watching Barbara Walters interview Beyoncé about 'Bootylicious', and she told Barbara about how she came up with the idea for the track," Fusari told Billboard.

"I called Mathew which was a big mistake. I got emotional and I apologised after - but I called Mathew and said, 'Mathew, like, why," says Fusari. "He explained to me, in a nice way, he said, 'People don't want to hear about Rob Fusari, producer from Livingston, NJ. No offense, but that's not what sells records. What sells records is people believing that the artist is everything'."

"And I'm like, 'Yeah, I know, Mathew. I understand the game. But come on, I'm trying too. I'm a squirrel trying to get a nut too.'"

Well besides him trying to get a nut lol...We have heard of this time and time again, and not just with Beyonce. Many famous artists have stolen other people's songs before, some we hear about and some we don't. But remember how Beyonce spoke and took sole credit for the song "Irreplaceable" when Ne-yo really did. In the interview above what I found interesting was his comment about what sells records and that an artist has to be everything. We all know an image can sell, and Mathew hit it right on the nose with that....everyone wants to believe Beyonce is writing and going through all of her lyrics and I understand the biz side of it, but damn, like I am always saying....Beyonce does not have to be PERFECT all of the time...it seems as if her team is always "covering" something up. Give the guy his name credit! geez!

Kim Kardashian recently launched her debut self-titled fragrance.

Unfortunately for Kim Kardashian, there is an issue with the logo for her fragrance. The logo, which features the letter K with its mirror image, has already been used in a very similar way for Korcula, a line of jewelry by designer Lindley Bertin.

In fact, Lindley Bertin sent Kim Kardashian a Korcula necklace featuring the double K design in 2008, and Kardashian has even been seen wearing it in public.

In a statement to StyleList, Lindley Bertin said, "I am disappointed that someone would take something from me that I put so much time, energy, and money into creating."

Dr. Dre Sues Suge Knight & Death Row Records!

Tmz is saying that Dre filed the federal lawsuit against Death Row -- which was created after Death Row filed for bankruptcy last year.

In the lawsuit, Dre claims he stopped getting checks from the label after he cut and ran in '96.

Dre says the new Death Row has been making lots of money by selling digital copies of "Chronic," "Chronic Re-Lit" and his greatest hits album without permission. (WOW..get that money Dre!)

Dre is suing for $75,000 minimum.
