Three Decades of VJs Shaping the Face of MTV

During MTV's 30 year span, countless VJs have pranced before the network's teen consciousness. A few favorites carried the baton from the first five and helped shape the network throughout its three decades. The original five VJs -- Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, J.J. Jackson and Martha Quinn, will live on in pop culture history as the pioneers of what was in 1981 a budding music channel. MTV has since grown into an unrivaled multimedia force, encompassing everything relevant to teen and pop culture.
