“Little Monsters” may want to visit Vince & Eddie’s Italian-American restaurant now that Lady Gaga is co-owner of the New York eatery.
Gaga (Stefani Germanotta) grew up on New York’s Upper East Side. Right across Central Park at 70W. 68th Street (between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue) was Vince & Eddie’s – The Germanotta Family’s favorite place for Italian eats in the City That Never Sleeps. That’s why when the spaghetti-lovin’ clan found out that the establishment was in financial trouble, they knew they had to help.
Mom and Pop Gaga — Joe and Cynthia Germanotta — have also become shareholders in the establishment, which opened in 1989. Gaga has decided to keep her involvement in the eatery low-key, according to her mom Cynthia.
“When she’s in town, she likes to come here with her friends because
it’s very homey and private. She’ll come here on her time off.”
And while staff will not be given tickets to her shows, they’ll be expected to dress like her backup dancers, The New York Post reports. Longtime Vince & Eddie’s employees were taken aback to learn this week that they’ll now be donning “edgier” uniforms, which are understood to be more…Gaga-esque. Perhaps meat dresses with lashings of blood?
