The changing face of the modern American family on television.
The depiction of the modern American family on television has evolved along with society's perception of what constitutes a family. Television panders to the public by making programming which reflects our lives, values and sense of humor and pushes boundaries to the degree which is least offensive to most and which society is ready to consume. As these boundaries change, so does the face of television. Television programming captures the zeitgeist of each era.
