Sean Kingston "Stabilized" After Jet Ski Crash (UPDATES)

Singer, Sean Kingston had the town talking last night when he crashed into a bridge while riding on a Jet Ski in Miami.... landing himself in critical condition!

Since last night, Kingston has been "stabilized" and is in the trauma ward of a Miami hospital.

His publicist sent the following statement on Kingston's upgraded conditiong:
"Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU. Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time."
Kingston crashed on the Jet Ski with a female passenger, but no word on her condition yet.

Kingston (real name: Kisean Anderson) was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital yesterday after he and a female passenger aboard his personal watercraft crashed into the Palm Island Bridge around 6:00 p.m. EST. A boater rescued the pair from the water, and Miami Fire Rescue crews brought the singer and passenger to the hospital.

A representative for Jackson Memorial Hospital confirmed to Billboard.com on Sunday that the 21-year-old pop star was in the Ryder Trauma Center. No details regarding his injuries have been released.

Kingston's hospitalization resulted in a outpouring of support by both his fans and peers on Twitter. The hashtag #prayforseankingston has been a top trending topic since news of the accident spread, while artists including Bieber, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown have tweeted messages for the singer.

"Got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight,"
wrote Bieber.
"A true friend and big bro. Please keep him in your prayers tonight as well."
Soulja Boy tweeted,

"Sean we praying for you baby."

"My love and prayers are with Sean Kingston and his family,"
wrote Nicki Minaj.

UPDATE:

Alcohol was NOT a factor in the jet ski accident that left Sean Kingston in critical condition ... this according to a report released by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The guy who heroically jumped into the water to save Sean Kingston says the singer was spitting up blood after his jet ski accident last night -- but that Sean was responsive and even spoke during the rescue.

Jonathan Rivera, a member of the Coast Guard, says he was driving his boat around Star Island on his day off ... when he was called over to the accident scene by a man and a woman on a jet ski. Rivera says he noticed an empty jet ski, a woman in the water floating (she was wearing a vest and complaining her head hurt) and Kingston.

Rivera says the two people on the jet ski were trying to hold Kingston up, but they were struggling to keep his head above water. Rivera says Kingston's size was a problem for them, as his life vest had come off.

So Rivera says he jumped in the water and noticed Kingston was "puking up blood out of his mouth."

Rivera says he wrapped his arms around Kingston and held on to the jet ski to help keep Kingston's head above water. Rivera said Kingston was
"convulsing and throwing up blood all over me"
-- but said he didn't notice any head trauma.

Rivera tells us he held onto Kingston for about 15 minutes, until a police boat finally arrived. Rivera says he doesn't think he could have held on much longer than he did.

The other passenger, a 23-year-old female, was listed as being "uninjured."
