Happy Birthday Canada!
The newlyweds had an early start this morning for their second day of public appearances in the nations capital. First stop, a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony at the Museum of Canadian Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec.
The couple watched as 20 + new Canadians were sworn in and pledged their allegiance to the Queen. During the ceremony, Will & Kate handed out flags to the new Canadian citizens and shook their hands.
Kate looks very patriotic in a ruffled cream Reiss dress and Sylvia Fletcher red fascinator. She completed her look with red pumps and according to the BBC, she is also wearing the Queen’s maple leaf brooch, which she wore during her first visit to Canada in 1951.
This is another recycled dress -- she wore it earlier this year in the official engagement photos she took with William.
As I write this, it is 12:06 PM and the couple is currently at Parliament Hill attending the Canada day Noon Show. Both the Prime Minister and William are expected to give speeches.
Today also marks Princess Diana`s 50th birthday anniversary. Despite the smiles, I am sure it is a sombre day for both Will & Kate.
Following their appearance at Parliament Hill, the couple will have an extended break before their next scheduled appearance at 9 pm for the Evening Show on Parliament Hill. Wouldnt it be great to see Kate in a new red dress?
