Who's This Year's Highest Paid Actor and Actress?

Forbes has released their list of Hollywood's highest paid actors and guess who came in first?

Earning roughly $77 million dollars in one year, Leonardo DiCaprio finished in first place. That should come as no surprise since he had two very successful movies out during the eligibility period (Shutter Island and Inception.)

Coming in second was last year's number one earner, Johnny Depp, who made $50 million dollars.

Adam Sandler finished in third place with $40 million, Will Smith came in fourth with $36 million, and Tom Hanks finished fifth with $35 million.

This year's top earning actress was tied! Both Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker earned $30 million dollars between May 2010 and May 2011. Although both stars prefer to act in different genres, these ladies proved that whether your talent lies in drama or comedy, the money is still there!

Second place was also a tie!  Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon each earned a cool $28 million dollars this year.

Julia Roberts had a slow year, earning $20 million dollars, which was largely attributed to the success of her film Eat.Pray.Love. Kristen Stewart can thank Twilight for her number three ranking and $20 million dollar salary as well, since the majority of her non-Twilight related movies didn't fair so well.

Finishing in fourth place was Katherine Heigl who earned $19 million and rounding out the top 5 is Cameron Diaz who also had a slow year, earning a total of $18 million.

Is it just me, or is the disparity between the men and women's salaries HUGE!
