The cast of Charlie's Angels', a reboot slated to air this Fall on ABC, took part in a panel at the Hilton's Indigo Ball Room as part of Comic-Con on Saturday. Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh, Rachael Taylor, Ramon Rodriguez, executive producer Alfred Gough, and Miles Millar took the stage to answer some pressing questions related to why this reboot will be worth watching.
So what makes it worthy? Change.
“One is a dirty cop, the other a car thief and another cat burglar,” says co-exutive producer Alfred Gough. In the original series, the angels were police cadets.
“It gave them a skill set in the show and it gave them something to overcome. And we made Bosley young and hot. In the TV show and movies, he was like the weird pervy uncle. And we wanted Bosley to be the fourth angel. And the final piece was moving the show from L.A. to Miami. L.A. — probably because we live there– didn’t seem exciting or fun.”
"We're angels, not saints" added Rachael Taylor who plays a cat burglar.
Another big difference was revealed when Gough hinted at changes regarding the iconic voice of Charlie:
“The angels can’t see Charlie, but the audience might.”
The series will air Thursday nights at 8 pm on ABC. Here is a sneak peek:
