You Win Some, You Lose Some

I woke up this morning with some good news and bad news. Bad news always comes first!

Chord Overstreet's series regular option was not picked up by the Fox comedy Glee and therefore, he will not be returning for season 3.

I think this might be a bad move considering the star just re-vamped his look and has the majority of women I know talking about him, which means they were also talking about Glee.

In all seriousness, I can't say I'm surprised. His character, Sam Evans, really didn't have much of a purpose on the show once Quinn dumped him.

Don't even get me started on Sam and Mercedes as a couple, I was not buying it. There was nothing leading up to it and then BAM, they are holding hands. Where was the courtship, prom?

Deadline.com is reporting that he might still come back to shoot a few episodes as an occasional guest star, but nothing is official.

"Well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh," Chord tweeted yesterday after the news broke.

On a brighter note, Harry Shum jr. and Darren Criss have both been bumped up to series regular for season 3.

Time for the good news! Remember Tyra from Friday Night Lights (a.k.a Adrianne Palicki)? She was kind of going through a bit of a slump this year with her Fox series Lone Star being canceled after only a few episodes and NBC dropping Wonder Woman, another series she was supposed to star in.

Well, it looks like her luck is changing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Palicki has landed a leading role as Lady Jaye in the upcoming film G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes. The film will star Channing Tatum, Ray Park, and Dwayne Johnson.

You win some, you lose some. I'm sure we'll be seeing Chord soon enough, especially since he has an 'older' new look going on right now. Trust me, it helps.
