Jay-Z Wants To Be A Judge On X-Factor Show...

Like Eminem, Jay-Z has now said that he would like to join 'The X Factor' judging panel for the next series of the show.

Jay-Z said: "Simon, if you need any help for the next series, let me know man and I'm your judge. "There is a lot of untapped hip hop talent in the UK and if they want my help finding some for the final 12 I am sure I could assist."


'X Factor' judge Simon Cowell previously said that he would like to have celebrity judges on the show for the next series.

Jay-Z Addresses Devil Worshiper Rumors...

Jay-Z & Jaguar Team Up For Next Video.

Jaguar announced at the LA Auto Show that the 2011 XJ luxury sedan will be featured in JAY-Z's next video featuring Swizz beatz, "On to the Next One," from his The Blueprint 3 album. Jaguar showed a 60-second trailer chronicling the XJ's role in the video at their Los Angeles Jaguar XJ launch party at Milk Studios Los Angeles.

Jay-Z Sues Alabama Restaurant For Playing His Song!

Rapper Jay-Z is suing Spot of Tea in Downtown Mobile, Alabama. It's part of a larger suit by Universal Music Group against small businesses around the country.

According to a federal lawsuit obtained by News 5 in Mobile, Jay-Z and five other plaintiffs are suing the restaurant for illegally playing their music.

The suit says that owner Tony Moore doesn't have the right to play their songs in his restaurant or the nightclub around back called Club Insanity.

The Jay-Z song in question was reportedly played in August. It's called "Umbrella" and is performed by Rihanna and Jay-Z

Moore says he is licensed and doesn't appreciate how his restaurant is being portrayed. "I've been in business for 15 years and I've gained an impeccable reputation. I pay my bills. I'm not a rogue business person that's trying to come in under the radar and perform a business operation without a permit."

A reporter asked, "Is it possible that you did play a couple of songs you weren't licensed to play?"

Moore responded, "I don't know if that's possible or not because they program it."

Moore is considering a counter lawsuit for defamation of character. The lawsuit is asking for $30,000 in damages.

Jay-Z's 40/40 Club Under Police Investigation.

Jay-Z's The 40/40 Club in Atlantic City is under investigation after a video surfaced showing several hulking bouncers brutally attacking two male patrons in the club parking lot over the weekend.



In the footage, captured by DJ Zeke, roughly ten men wearing "security" and "event staff" shirts gang up and repeatedly beat the two men -- who can barely defend themselves against the ruthless mob.

Cops say charges will be filed against several bouncers -- and they are currently reviewing the tape to identify the men involved in the attack.

But get this -- the two victims were arrested after the beatdown and charged with disorderly conduct because security told cops they had acted inappropriately inside the club.

The two men claimed they did nothing wrong inside or outside of the club. The tape seems to back their story.

A rep for the club tells TMZ: "We can't comment on the fight. We are doing our own investigation in addition to the police investigation. It's really in the hands of the police at this point. The 40/40 club has never had anything like this happen before and we take the safety of our patrons seriously."

While chatting up Gotham mag editor in chief Cristina Greeven Cuomo, jay-Z let it slip that procreating is high on the duo's priority list right now.

That's big news from hip hop's sneakiest couple, who wed secretly on a Tribeca rooftop and rarely even wear their own wedding rings in public.

It's also a change in attitude for Beyoncé, who admitted on "The View" in April that while she was interested in motherhood, she was in no hurry to hit the birthing room after seeing the process upclose when her sister Solange did it.

"I definitely want one, but I'm not ready for all of that," she said then. "I don't think a person should see that before her time. It was a little much. But I'm so in love with my nephew, and every time I see him I'm like, God, he's just amazing."

Beyonce Thanks Jay-Z At MTV Europe Music Awards For "Putting A Ring On It."

Lots of stars stepped out in Berlin, Germany on Thursday night for the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Beyonce picked up awards for Best Song for “Halo,” Best Female and Best Video for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” According to MTV U.K., Beyonce thanked her husband, Jay-Z, who also performed at the event, while accepting the statue.

“There is only one person I want to thank and that is Jay for putting a ring on it,” she said. (CLASSIC- GO HEAD BEY!)

But beyond her wins, Beyonce wowed the crowd in a sexy red corset and black eye mask, which she wore as she stepped on stage to perform “Sweet Dreams.”

Jay-Z Announces 2010 North American Tour & "Empire State of Mind PT2"

Jay-Z has announced the second leg of his North American tour in support of his latest album, "Blueprint 3." The tour will begin on Feb. 22, 2010, in Houston, Texas, making stops in Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta and Boston before ending on March 26 in Los Angeles' Staple Center. Jay-Z will be joined by former Def Jam labelmate Young Jeezy, who is scheduled to open all dates.

Tickets go on sale on Nov. 13 on LiveNation.com, while Citi cardmembers have access to presale tickets beginning Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. local time.

Alicia Keys and Jay-Z will perform before Game 1 of the World Series.

The superstars will sing their song "Empire State of Mind" off Jay-Z's album, The Blueprint 3, and then Alicia will sing the national anthem.

Jay-Z said of the performance, "As a die-hard Yankee fan, I’m honored to perform a song that celebrates the greatness of New York in one of our city's most important landmarks, Yankee Stadium."

The New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies will face off in Game 1 at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Wednesday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. EST on FOX.

Jay-Z & Alicia Keys to Perform at The American Music Awards.

Jay-Z has been added as a performer at American Music Awards this year and confirmed to share stage with Alicia Keys. The rap mogul will deliver his joint track with Alicia, "Empire State of Mind". (Minus the Lil Mama interruption as at the MTV VMAs...smh lol)

"We are thrilled to have Jay-Z and Alicia Keys on stage together for the 2009 American Music Awards," the show's producer Larry Klein told Access Hollywood. "Both are such talented artists, it is sure to be a memorable performance."

2009 AMAs will take place on November 22 at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater. The ceremony will be telecast live as a three-hour primetime special on the ABC Television Network. Beside having Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, the event will also see performances from Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert.

Nominations for the awards have been announced by Adam, Paula Abdul and Snoop Dogg on October 13 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Led by Taylor Swift with six nods, the list has Jay-Z nominated as one of the contenders for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album in Rap/Hip-Hop Music.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys recently filmed the video for the huge hit and NYC anthem “Empire State of Mind.” The two filmed scenes in Times Square and in Harlem. Young Jeezy and Jay-Z surprised the crowd and kicked off the show. Jeezy spoke on that, "Shouts out to the homie, man, he stopped through [Jay-Z.] He was on his way to another show. But that’s what we do. Real ones do real things. I just wanted to do something big for the city. Since the song is on both of our albums, we gonna shoot the video. It’s gonna be crazy. We said, ‘Let’s go ahead and break it in at the BET Awards.’ ”

Jeezy explained that the video is going to display some of their riches. “We just gonna go dumb,” he said. “Call Rick [Ross] up, everybody. [We'll have] cars, watches, blunts, money, just go dumb. Dumm-meeee! That’s what we need to do.”

Jeezy also said he wouldn’t mind doing some more shows with Jay-Z. “I’mma keep it all the way live, homie. At this point in my career, I’m like, whatever, I do this from the heart...Everything I do is real to me. If it’s some strings and orchestra with it, and we still talking about what we supposed to be talking about, I’m all for it.”

Beyonce & Jay-Z Set To Perform At The 2010 World Cup!

Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z will perform for the world at the 2010 World Cup, held in South Africa. The couple were asked to perform for the soccer event by the Federation Internationale De Football Association (FIFA). They will perform for a kick-off concert. Others to join in the celebration of the World Cup are the Black Eyed Peas and other popular African groups.

They’re trying to get fans and broadcasters excited by these performers. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the official campaign of the 2010 World Cup, called 20 Centres for 2010. It will go towards education, health care services and soccer training to less privileged communities.

The 2010 World Cup will be held at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Africa on June 10, 2010. Sounds like it’s going to be lots of fun!
