UPDATE: If you don't know already, BET's "Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century" did not have Jay-Z or Nas on there. In the video, some of the people who made that decision sit down and take the time out to explain their actions.
UHH OK... We still think Jay-Z made a huge impact to the 21st Century in Hip-Hop as well. Maybe that's just us?
Here is comment from one of our Twitter peeps:
JRPOLL87: if they can't have jigga they shouldn't have Wayne cuz he been out before '99 n where da Fu*k was fabolous?!??
What do you think about this top 10 list? Who would you put in yours?
ORIGINAL POST:
The special just aired last night, Friday October 15th on BET. Let's kill the suspense. Coming in at #1 on the list is hip hop icon, Eminem, who has sold more records than anyone on the list. Second is Lil' Wayne, currently incarcerated. In the third spot, Kanye West, the producer and rapper extraordinaire. Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent takes the fourth spot due to three platinum albums in the past decade and consistent hit making. Rounding out the Top 5 is rapper T.I.
Here's the complete BET Rappers Top 10:
1) Eminem 2) Lil' Wayne 3) Kanye West 4) 50 Cent 5) T.I. 6) Ludacris 7) Drake 8) Young Jeezy 9) Jadakiss 10) Rick Ross
In case you missed it, while everyone was partying in Vegas, that partying almost turned to rumbling. Floyd Mayweather was ready to fight Rick Ross but just before a fight broke out, Diddy saved the day.
It all went down at the grand opening of Vanity nightclub in the Hard Rock Hotel, which was hosted by Diddy. We're told Floyd Mayweather went to the party to see Diddy, when he literally ran into rapper Rick Ross.
Sources tell TMZ one of the men "bumped" into the other man and their entourages immediately became "confrontational."
But as things started to heat up, we're told Diddy swooped in between the guys and calmed everyone down.
We called Mayweather's camp for comment and his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. says there's been beef between Floyd and Ross for a while because Ross has allegedly been, "talking s**t."
We're told both Mayweather Jr. and Ross eventually went back in the club and partied the rest of the night away without incident.
According to Floyd, he no longer has any issues with the Boss.
"Like I said before, we had a little problem, what he do is what he do and what I do is what I do," Mayweather explained."You know how it is. With anybody, if you start trouble, you know, I gotta finish it. Like I said before, he did what he had to do and I did what I had to do. And that's in the past and I'll leave it where it's at...Well, I'm the biggest boss that you've seen thus far [laughs] "
Ok but that did sound like a little jab at the end thought right lol.
