Is She Hollywood's Next Big Star? (PHOTOS)

20 year old star on the rise, Jennifer Lawrence, heats up the new issue Of GQ magazine and stars in this summer's X-Men: First Class, as the shape-shifting Mystique.

The film's director, Matthew Vaughn, tells GQ,
"There are a lot of young American actors right now who haven't got any technique, and to be blunt, a lot of these kids assume that just by having a good set of teeth and t*ts, smiling for the camera's gonna be enough. I needed someone who could act."

Vaughn picked Lawrence based on her audition tape alone and not seeing any of her past work, including last year's Winter's Bone, for which the actress was nominated for an Oscar.

Jennifer also stars with Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson in this summer's "The Beaver" and the post apocalyptic tale "The Hunger Games". Not only that, she is also going to star in "The House at the End of the Street" coming in 2012.

Jen's getting a lot of great roles coming up and not to mention she's a hottie....think she's Hollywood's next big star?

Lady Gaga's meat dress is still making a fashion statement...it landed her the number one spot on TIME Magazine's 2010 list of the Top 10 fashion statements!

"If making fashion statements is your primary raison d'être, it's easy to get bored. Exploding bra? Flamed out. Dress made of bubbles? Please. Using your hair as a bow? Not again. But a dress made of meat — with shoes, hat and purse to match — well, that's fresh,"
said TIME.

The designer responsible for Lady Gaga's outfit has since said that he expected it to be kept in storage along with the singer's other dresses.

Rihanna Covers British GQ And Says Questions About Chris Brown Are "Fu*king Annoying" (SEXY PICS & INTERVIEW INSIDE)

RiRi poses for some sexy pics in next week's issue of Brish GQ and discusses the Chris Brown incident.

“Sometimes when you’re on the inside of a relationship like that, you can’t see it clearly for what it is. “I left – it was the best feeling. It was so freeing.”

But the Barbados-born beauty struggles with past decisions, especially after swearing never to let a man touch her after seeing her mum Monica suffer domestic violence.

She confessed: “I witnessed it happening to my mum and I said I would never let that happen to me – and then it was happening. “Now, when I look back, it bugs me out that I couldn’t see it for what it was.”

R&B singer Brown, 21, attacked Rihanna in his car in Los Angeles. He was sentenced to five years probation, a year-long domestic violence programme and 180 days of community service.

She added: “Before that, I was just a little girl from the island, singing pop music. It was easy to think I didn’t have a problem in the world. Then all of a sudden, boom! Everybody realises that I do have problems.”

But Rihanna says that dark period is finally behind her, adding: “It made me strong. It’s a moment in my life I wish would disappear.

“In my head, it’s gone.”

In an interview for the January edition of style mag GQ, chart- topper Rihanna asked for her fans not to pity her. “I have too much pride,” she admitted. “I’d never let anyone see me cry. I don’t want you to remember me for that.”

Rihanna, whose latest album Loud is No2 in the UK charts, also thinks her sexy image may annoy people.

She said: “Girls don’t like to see other girls dressed sexy. I get that. People see my ass out and my boobs out, so it can get a little irritating.”

When a snippet of her interview, in which she talks about leaving Brown, hit the internet this morning, a fan tweeted to Rihanna, saying she thinks it’s time the star stopped talking about the incident. “AGREED!” Rihanna replied.

“People won’t stop askin abt it! Its f*ckin annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can’t respect that!”

“I get it, they wanna raise awareness to young girls,”
Rihanna continued.
“But it ends up just makin me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!”

Rihanna, who is promoting her latest album, Loud, told GQ,
“Sometimes when you’re on the inside of a relationship like that, you can’t see it clearly for what it is… I left – it was the best feeling. It was so freeing.”

Uncle Luke & Platinum Selling South DJ, Magic Mike Sound Off @ VH1 Hip-Hop Honors!

So as previously reported, VH1 announced 44 new reality shows coming up (Vh1 Announced 44 New Reality Shows! Check ths list...) and that includes their annual VH1 Hip-Hop Honors, and this time around they are dedicated to honoring the south. But some legendary movers & shakers from the south are offended that they are not being honoring or even invited for that matter.

Uncle Luke released this statement saying "go fu*k yourself" to VH1 and that he is offended that he is not being honored individually only as a member of the 2-Live-Crew.

"This year I'm supposed to be honored, but they only want to honor me as a member of the 2 Live Crew...They want to honor Master P for his business savvy and they want to honor Jermaine Dupri for his business savvy and I'm kind of offended by that. We have basically been talking it out, but it's just so sad that people just don't know my history. They try to link me with a group and not see me as a businessman. Luke Records was the first independent black owned record company owned by a rapper. We were the first to distribute our own product. There's just so many first...For an organization like VH1 to try to say I'm just the first person to go to the Supreme Court over music censorship and be a part of the 2 Live Crew...I told them the other day, 'Just go f*ck yourself.' We were even the first to have a street team...I don't want to be a part of it unless you honor what I've done in a proper way. I've never asked anyone to do anything. But when you ask me to be a part of something, I'm not going to let you disrespect me."
Well, at least Luke is being honored somewhat. Platinum recording artist/ DJ, Magic Mike says he wasn't even invited and he is totally offended by that. Dj Magic Mike and the Royal Posse sold over a million copies, the album skyrocketed to Platinum status. Mike made history with the release of BASS IS THE NAME OF THE GAME and other albums.

Nevertheless, he has done A LOT for the south. I actually used to host a mixshow with Magic Mike in Orlando and he is also a good friend of mine, so I caught up with him in the next issue of Zaria Magazine in my "Talk of the Town" section. Here is a snippet of what DJ Magic Mike had to say about VH1 not honoring him:

Go to RIAA (Recording Industry of America) and see how many artist went gold or platinum from back then and you will see that answer is very few. We had to work for what we achieved because no one wanted to give it to us. I just want people to respect history.

For the rest of my interview with Dj Magic Mike, stay tuned right here for the release of Zaria Magazine's next issue and check the "Talk of the Town" section.
