TMZ is reporting that Chuck Lorre's plan is to kill off Two and a Half Men character Charlie Harper! After Sheen's public meltdown, Lorre made it very clear that he did not want him returning to the set. Apparently Lorre believes that writting Charlie Harper out of the series is the best way to ensure that plan goes accordingly. The first episode of Two and a Half Men does not start filming until August 5th. According to TMZ, sources connected to the show have shared the ideas that producers have been kicking around regarding Sheen's character. According to these sources, the dominant idea is Charlie Harper driving his car off of a cliff.
Sound familiar? Two of Charlie Sheen's cars were reported to the police after going off of a cliff on Mulholland Drive in May and June of this year. Is Lorre taking a stab at the actor's personal life now?
In this scenario, the source told TMZ that Ashton Kutcher would buy Charlie's house and that is how he would be worked into the script
Here is the problem -- are Jake and Alan expected to only grieve for one episode and then the comedy will ensue? How believable would that be? Also, are we expected to believe that Kutcher's character will let Alan and Jake, two complete strangers, live with him? Or will he be worked in as a distant family member?
If this is the route Lorre is planning to take, I think it still needs a bit of work
