8/10Meet Dale (Charlie Day) who made the mistake of peeing in the park after dark and getting caught, which ultimately led to him being put on the registered sex offenders list (even though there were no kids in the park) and sealing his fate as an unemployable dental hygenist. Lucky for Dale, he found a job working for Dr. Julia Harris (Jennifer Aniston) who is as equally perverted as any sex offender. She wants Dale bad and is not afraid to forcefully show him. He hate's his job but sadly cannot quit. Then there is his friend Nick (Jason Bateman) who has worked for his boss Mr. Harken's (Kevin Spacey) for eight long years all in hopes of getting a coveted promotion. Nick can only take so much and after his boss coldly passes him up for the promotion, he too has had enough. Finally, there's Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) who unlike his friends, loves his job -- until his boss dies and his cokehead son fills in for him. Before you know it, three friends find themselves talking about 'justifiable homicide' and hiring a murder consultant to help them kill their bosses.
A long plot that sounds far fetched but ends up working brilliantly. The comedy is spot on and Jennifer Aniston plays a role we've never seen her in before. She's trashy, has a foul mouth, sexually perverse, and over the top -- she nails it. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Aniston said,
“I had such a great time doing it. It was ridiculous fun, I never get that kind of fun stuff. It was great! You do tend to get locked into parts that you play, you know what I mean? People forget that there are other parts in there. That’s what I love about Seth Gordon — someone with imagination. You just have to have the balls to let people try [other kinds of roles].”
The movie is full of witty one liners you'll be sharing with friends for days. One of the best comedies projected for the summer. If you haven't already, go out and watch this movie!
