Yes, there is such a thing and to answer your second question, yes celebrities do attend. Spike TV hosted their annual Guys Choice Awards Saturday night in L.A. The awards are created by men, for men, and voting is also restricted to men. Recipients receive a trophy in the shape of an antler that has been titled a mantler. Clever!
Some awards were light hearted; Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson won for Biggest Ass Kicker, Sofia Vergara won the Hot and Funny Woman Award, and Snooki’s new book , A Shore Thing was defeated by Keith Richards’ Life for Outstanding Literary Achievement Award.
Of course, there were your borderline if not completely sexist awards. The Black Swan lesbian scene defeated The Roommate’s girl fight scene for Best Girl on Girl Action. New Transformers cast member, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, took home the Our New Girlfriend award.
Sean Penn was in attendance to celebrate the film Fast Times At Ridgemont High being inducted into the Guy Movie Hall of Fame. Finally, Robert De Niro presented Rock and Roll legend Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones) with the Brass Balls Award for his contribution to the music industry.
The three biggest awards of the night were distributed to Jim Carey for Funniest Mother Fu*ker, Mila Kunis who defeated Minka Kelly for the Holy Grail of Hot Award, and Jennifer Aniston who was honored with The Decade of Hotness Award.
Despite the event being tailored for men, I decided to choose a few of my favorite looks and quickly showcase them below. Here is a glance at some of the best dressed presenters, nominees and winners.
