Glee Season 3 Secrets Revealed!

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy spilled some secrets from the highly anticipated Season 3. He informed faithful Gleeks that in the upcoming season, there would be more in depth plots with some of the background characters like Tina and Mike. A detailed storyline with Rachel is also in the works and we expect to meet her two gay dads! The biggest spoiler of all -- Sue Sylvester will be running for congress.

“We just got in that rut that she can’t be against the glee club forever. Maybe she can. The glee club is small potatoes. She should be going after the Obama administration. She should be going after Sarah Palin. Her enemy should be the U.S. government. [Matthew Morrison’s] character will be involved in the election, which will be really funny. We have great plans for Sue” said Murcphy.

He also reported that fans should not be expecting many tribute episodes, “We’re doing one tribute episode this year that’s two years in the making and I finally got [it] cleared.”

Time for the big question! Faithful Gleeks like myself have been worrying about the fate of our favorite characters who are set to graduate in season 3. Since the show first aired, Murphy has made it very clear that he would remain true to the highschool experience and have the cast graduate in a reasonable amount of time. Those who graduate would be replaced with new talent and a new cast would ensue. We know for certain that Darren and Chord are not seniors, so they are safe. Murphy also hinted at characters potentially failing and staying on board, “There are some people that are REALLY intellectually challenged. Like, you know that Britney is pulling straight Fs.” Does that mean Finn is also safe?

Still, Gleeks know that there is no way Rachel and Kurt will be failing high school. It would also be untrue to their characters to have them stifle their dreams and stay in small-town Ohio. The Season 2 finale also seemed to be hinting at a possible spin off show -- Kurt and Rachel in New York perhaps?  When Murphy was asked about the two cast members in perticular, he stated,

“I have always felt that those two characters in particular were too big for Ohio. I also just kind of like the idea of them like graduating and going off into the ether and you hope they become successes but you don’t know. I don’t know what we’re going to do — we’re only concentrating on the fall this far”

So in the end, we got some spoilers but the big question still remains: Who is leaving after Season 3?
