Critics love this movie! It is receiving so much good press; I cannot wait to see it. Not just because of the good reviews, but also because one of my favorite actors stars in it-Kyle Chandler. I’ve seen him in a bunch of interviews over the years for Friday Night Lights and if there’s one thing I’ve picked up from him: Kyle Chandler makes good TV and (hopefully) good movies because he cares about what he’s putting out there. He’s all about that connection with the script, the character development and growth on screen.
Director J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg have sworn their cast to secrecy over the script, ensuring that the movie and the plot remained a mystery. What we do know is that the film takes place in 1979 after a group of young kids witness a train crash. Strange, unexplainable things start happening in their small town following the crash, and they start investigating the odd phenomenon. That’s all we know!
I’m not much of a sci-fi fan but something about the suspense, the build up and Kyle Chandler is drawing me to this movie.
Here’s a sneak peek of the trailer. The film is out today in theatres everywhere- will you see it?
